أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ يَعْنِيُ ابْنَ الْمُفَضَّلِ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ فِي قَوْلِهِ {وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ الَّذِي آتَيْنَاهُ آيَاتِنَا فَانْسَلَخَ مِنْهَا} [الأعراف 175] قَالَ هُوَ بَلْعَمٌ وَقَالَ نَزَلَتْ فِي أُمَيَّةَ

✧ From Abd Allah regarding His saying {And recite to them the news of the one to whom We gave Our signs, but he detached himself from them} [al-A'raf: 175]: He said: He is Balaam. And he said: It was revealed about Umayyah.
