Sūrat al-Māʾidah

أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ فِي الْأُولَى مِنْهُمَا الْآيَةَ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ {آمَنَّا بِاللهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْنَا} [البقرة 136] إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ وَفِي الْأُخْرَى {آمَنَّا وَاشْهَدْ بِأَنَّنَا مُسْلِمُونَ} [المائدة 111]

Translation

✧ He informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in the two rakʿahs of dawn, in the first of them the verse up to His saying {We believe in Allah and what has been sent down to us} [al-Baqarah 136] to the end of the verse, and in the other {We believe, so bear witness that we are Muslims} [al-Māʾidah 111].
