Sūrat al-Nisāʾ

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي قَزْعَةَ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ سَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ مَا حَقُّ الْمَرْأَةِ عَلَى زَوْجِهَا؟ قَالَ «تُطْعِمُهَا إِذَا طَعِمْتَ وَتَكْسُوَهَا إِذَا اكْتَسَيْتَ وَلَا تَضْرِبُ الْوَجْهَ وَلَا تُقَبِّحُ وَلَا تَهْجُرُ إِلَّا فِي الْبَيْتِ»

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ: A man asked him, “What is the right of the wife upon her husband?” He said: “That you feed her when you eat, clothe her when you clothe yourself, do not strike the face, do not revile her, and do not forsake her except in the house.”
