أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ لَمَّا جَاءَ نَعْيُ النَّجَاشِيِّ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «صَلَّوْا عَلَيْهِ» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ نُصَلِّي عَلَى عَبْدٍ حَبَشِيٍّ؟ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {وَإِنَّ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَمَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْهِمْ خَاشِعِينَ} [آل عمران 199] الْآيَةُ 11023 أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْخَبَّازُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ مِثْلَهُ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Pray over him.” They said: “O Messenger of Allah, shall we pray over an Abyssinian slave?” Then Allah, Mighty and Exalted, revealed: “And indeed, among the People of the Scripture there are some who believe in Allah and what was revealed to you and what was revealed to them, humbly submissive to Allah” [Āli ʿImrān 199] until the end of the verse. 11023 ʿAmr b. Manṣūr reported to us: Yazīd b. Mihrān Abū Khālid al-Khabbāz narrated to us: Abū Bakr b. ʿAyyāsh reported to us, from Ḥumayd, from al-Ḥasan, the like of it.
