أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَا أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ اذْهَبْ فَنَادِ مَنْ شَهِدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ فَقَدْ وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ؟ قَالَ «وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ» فَأَعَدْتُ عَلَيْهِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَقَالَ «وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ وَإِنْ رَغِمَ أَنْفُ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “O Abu al-Darda’, go and proclaim: Whoever bears witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, Paradise is guaranteed for him.” I said: “O Messenger of Allah, even if he commits adultery and steals?” He said: “Even if he commits adultery and steals.” I repeated it to him three times, and he said: “Even if he commits adultery and steals, even if Abu al-Darda’s nose is rubbed in the dust.”
