أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا السَّهْمِيُّ وَهُوَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ عَنْ وَاصِلٍ الْأَحْدَبِ عَنْ مَعْرُورِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ
كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي مَسِيرٍ لَهُ فَلَمَّا كَانَ فِي بَعْضِ اللَّيْلِ تَنَحَّى فَلَبِثَ طَوِيلًا ثُمَّ أَتَانَا فَقَالَ أَتَانِي آتٍ مِنْ رَبِّي فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ مَنْ مَاتَ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ أَنَّ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ قُلْتُ «وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ

✧ We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey of his. When it was part of the night, he withdrew and remained for a long time, then he came to us and said: "A messenger from my Lord came to me and informed me that whoever dies testifying that there is no god but Allah will have Paradise." I said: "Even if he commits adultery and even if he steals?" He said: "Yes."
