أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرٌ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي قَيْسٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ مَيْمُونٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «يَغْلِبُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِ كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ؟» قَالُوا وَمَنْ يُطِيقُ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ {قُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ} [الإخلاص 1] 10462 عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ أَيَعْجَزُ أَحَدُكُمْ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ مَوْقُوفًا

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ: He said: "Would one of you be unable to recite one third of the Quran every night?" They said: "Who can bear that?" He said: "{Say: He is Allah, the One} [Quran 112:1]." 10462 From Yusuf b. Sa'id, from Hajjaj, from Ibn Jurayj, from Ata, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu Mas'ud, who said: "Would any of you be unable..." and he mentioned its meaning as mawquf.
