✧ The preferred time for seeking forgiveness

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَنْزِلُ رَبُّنَا تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى حِينَ يَبْقَى ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ الْآخِرِ فَيَقُولُ مَنْ يَدْعُونِي فَأَسْتَجِيبَ لَهُ مَنْ يَسْتَغْفِرُنِي فَأَغْفِرَ لَهُ حَتَّى يَطْلُعَ الْفَجْرُ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Our Lord, Blessed and Exalted, descends when the last third of the night remains and says: 'Who supplicates to Me that I may answer him? Who seeks My forgiveness that I may forgive him?' until the dawn rises."
