أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ

النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ عَلَيْكَ الْيَهُودِيُّ وَالنَّصْرَانِيُّ فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ السَّامُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَقُلْ عَلَيْكُمْ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said: “When a Jew or a Christian greets you, he only says: ‘Al-sam ʿalaykum (death be upon you all),’ so say: ‘Upon you all.’”
