أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَأْتِي أَبَا طَلْحَةَ كَثِيرًا فَجَاءَهُ يَوْمًا وَقَدْ مَاتَ نُغَيرٌ لِابْنِهِ فَوَجَدَهُ حَزِينًا فَسَأَلَ عَنْهُ فَأَخْبَرُوهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَا أَبَا عُمَيْرٍ مَا فَعَلَ النُّغَيْرُ؟»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to come to Abu Talhah frequently. One day he came to him and a small bird belonging to his son had died, so he found him sad. He asked about him, and they told him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Abu 'Umayr, what happened to the nughayr?"
