✧ What to say when breaking the fast

أَخْبَرَنِي قُرَيْشُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ الْمُقَفَّعُ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ قَبَضَ عَلَى لِحْيَتِهِ فَقَطَعَ مَا زَادَ عَلَى الْكَفِّ

وَقَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَفْطَرَ قَالَ «ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ وَابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوقُ وَثَبَتَ الْأَجْرُ إنْ شَاءَ اللهُ»

✧ He said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ broke his fast, he would say: “Thirst is gone, veins are moistened, and the reward is established, if Allah wills.”
