Visiting the Sick, and the Reward for Sickness - Section 3
وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ عَادَ مَرِيضًا لَمْ يَزَلْ يَخُوضُ الرَّحْمَةَ حَتَّى يَجْلِسَ فَإِذَا جَلَسَ اغتمس فِيهَا». رَوَاهُ مَالك وَأحمد
Translation
Jabir reported God’s messenger as saying, "When one visits an invalid he continues to plunge into mercy till he sits down, and when he sits down he is immersed in it.” Malik and Ahmad transmitted it.
