✧ Cleaning Oneself After Relieving Oneself

وَقَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْمُقْرِي، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زِيَادِ بْنِ أَنْعُمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ هُوَ ابْنُ عَمْرٍو ؓ قَالَ:

كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لَيْلَةَ الْجِنِّ فَسَمِعْتُهُ وَهُمْ يَسْتَفْتُونَهُ عَنِ الِاسْتِنْجَاءِ، فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: « ثَلَاثَةُ أَحْجَارٍ ». قَالُوا: كَيْفَ بِالْمَاءِ ؟ قَالَ: « هُوَ أَطْهَرُ وَأَطْهَرُ

✧ I was with the Messenger of God ﷺ on the night of the jinn, and I heard him while they were asking him for legal rulings about istinja'. I heard him say: 'Three stones.' They said: 'What about water?' He said: 'It is purer and purer.'
