✧ I fought alongside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ against the jinn and mankind. It was said, 'How did you fight the jinn?' He said, 'We stopped at a place, and I took my water-skin and bucket to draw water. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Someone will come to you at the water to prevent you." When I was at the well, a black man came to me, as if he were a demon, and said, "You will not draw a bucketful from it today." He grabbed me, and I grabbed him and threw him down. Then I took a stone and broke his nose and face. Then I filled my water-skin and came to the Prophet ﷺ. He said, "Did anyone come to you at the water?" I said, "A black man." I told him what I had done. He ﷺ said, "That was a devil."
