حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْأَوْدِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ:
دَخَلَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ الْمَسْجِدَ، فَاجْتَمَعَ إِلَيْهِ النَّاسُ، فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ شَابٌّ، فَقَالَ: أَنْشُدُكَ بِاللهِ، أَسَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: مَنْ كُنْتُ مَوْلَاهُ فَعَلِيٌّ مَوْلَاهُ، اللَّهُمَّ وَالِ مَنْ وَالَاهُ وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ ؟ " قَالَ ؓ: اللَّهُمَّ نَعَمْ

✧ Abu Hurayrah ؓ entered the mosque and people gathered around him. A young man stood up to him and said, "I implore you by Allah, did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever's mawla I am, Ali is his mawla. O Allah, befriend whoever befriends him and be hostile to whoever is hostile to him'?" He ؓ said, "O Allah, yes."
