قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، ثَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ، ثَنَا عُمَرُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْفَضْلَ بْنَ ثَوْرٍ، يَقُولُ: حَدَّثَنِي فُلَانٌ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ تَعَالَى ﷺ قَالَ:
« مَا قِيلَ، وَلَمْ يَقُلْ أَحَدٌ قَبْلُ كَلِمَةً هِيَ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَلَا سَأَلَ السَّائِلُونَ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ شَيْئًا أَفْضَلَ مِنَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ
