✧ What to Say When Supplicating for People

قَالَ عَبْدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ؓ قَالَ:

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اجْتَهَدَ لِأَحَدٍ فِي الدُّعَاءِ، قَالَ ﷺ: « جَعَلَ اللهُ عَلَيْكُمْ صَلَاةَ قَوْمٍ أَبْرَارٍ، لَيْسُوا بِآثِمَةٍ وَلَا فُجَّارٍ، يَقُومُونَ اللَّيْلَ وَيَصُومُونَ النَّهَارَ

Translation

✧ When the Messenger of God ﷺ exerted himself in supplication for someone, he ﷺ would say: "May God make upon you the prayer of a righteous people, who are not sinful nor wicked, who stand in prayer at night and fast during the day."
