✧ Raising the Hands in Supplication

قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ رُزَيْقٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الْأَعْمَى، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ؓ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ

كَانَ إِذَا أَصَابَهُ شِدَّةٌ وَدَعَا رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ ﷺ

Translation

✧ When hardship befell him and he supplicated, he would raise his hands until the whiteness of his armpits could be seen ﷺ.
