وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ: حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ الْمُحَبَّرِ، ثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ:

إِنَّ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ ؓ قَالَ لِلْأَنْصَارِيِّ الَّذِي ذَكَّرَهُ بِمِيقَاتِ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ: بَلَى اشْهَدُوا أَنَّا كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ بَيْضَاءُ نَقِيَّةٌ، ثُمَّ نَأْتِي بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ، وَهِيَ عَلَى مِيلَيْنِ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ، وَإِنَّ الشَّمْسَ لَمْ تُفْقَدْ

Translation

✧ Al-Mughirah b. Shu'bah ؓ said to the Ansari who reminded him of the time of Asr prayer: Yes, bear witness that we used to pray Asr with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while the sun was white and clear, then we would go to Banu Amr b. Awf, which is two miles from Madinah, and the sun had not yet disappeared.
