✧ The Horseman's Share

وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى: حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ، ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ أَبِي فَرْوَةَ، أَنَّ أَبَا حَازِمٍ، مَوْلَى أَبِي رُهْمٍ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي رُهْمٍ وَأَخِيهِ:

أَنَّهُمَا كَانَا فَارِسَيْنِ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ، فَأُعْطِيَا سِتَّةَ أَسْهُمٍ. أَرْبَعَةً لِفَرَسَيْهِمَا، وَسَهْمَيْنِ لَهُمَا، فَبَاعَا السَّهْمَيْنِ بِبَكْرَيْنِ

✧ That they were two horsemen on the Day of Hunayn, and they were given six shares: four for their two horses and two for themselves; then they sold the two shares for two young camels.
