✧ Prohibition of a Woman Traveling Without Need

قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي سَمِينَةَ، نَبَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ، نَبَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمُخَرِّمِيُّ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ الْأَخْنَسِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ يَرْبُوعٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ؓ، قَالَتْ:

قَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ: « هِيَ هَذِهِ الْحَجَّةُ، ثُمَّ الْجُلُوسُ عَلَى ظُهُورِ الْحُصُرِ فِي الْبُيُوتِ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said to us during the Farewell Pilgrimage, "This is the pilgrimage, then staying at home on the mats in the houses."
