✧ Crowding to Kiss the Black Stone and Its Virtue

وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مَنْبُوذٌ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، قَالَتْ:

كُنْتُ عِنْدَ عَائِشَةَ ؓ إِذِ انْتَهَتْ مَوْلَاةٌ لَهَا، فَقَالَتْ: إِنِّي اسْتَلَمْتُ الْحَجَرَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فِي سَبْعٍ طُفْتُهُ، فَقَالَتْ: لَا آجَرَكِ اللهُ، مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا، هَلَّا كَبَّرْتِ وَعَقَدْتِ، وَمَرَرْتِ، أَرَدْتِ أَنْ تُدَافِعِي الرِّجَالَ

Translation

✧ I was with A'ishah ؓ when a female servant of hers came and said: "I touched the Black Stone three times in seven circumambulations." She said: "May Allah not reward you—two or three times? Why did you not say takbir, turn away, and pass by? You wanted to push against the men."
