✧ Warning against asking and the virtue of giving

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ؓ - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ -:

إِنَّ الَّذِي يَأْتِينِي مِنْكُمْ فَيَسْأَلُنِي فَأُعْطِيهِ، فَيَنْطَلِقُ وَمَا يَحْمِلُ فِي حِضْنِهِ إِلَّا النَّارَ.

Translation

✧ Indeed, one of you comes to me and asks me, and I give him, then he departs carrying nothing in his lap but fire.
