✧ Walking with the Funeral and Standing with It Until It Is Buried

وَحَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ شَبَّةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ الْأُسَيْدِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ الْحَبْحَابِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ؓ رَفَعَهُ:
مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَشْهَدُ جِنَازَةَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ إِلَّا كَانَ لَهُ قِيرَاطٌ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ، فَإِنْ قَعَدَ حَتَّى صَلَّوْا عَلَيْهَا كَانَ لَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ، كُلُّ قِيرَاطٍ مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ

✧ No Muslim attends the funeral of a Muslim man without receiving a qirat of reward. If he sits until they pray over it, he receives two qirats of reward, each qirat like Uhud.
