machine translationYaḥyā b. Maʿīn said regarding the ḥadīth of Yūnus b. ʿUbayd, from Nāfiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar, may God be pleased with them both: "The delay of a wealthy man [in repaying a debt] is an injustice." Yaḥyā said: "I heard it from Hushaym, and Yūnus did not hear it from Nāfiʿ." Ibn Abī Dāwūd said to us: I said to Yaḥyā: "Did Yūnus not hear anything from Nāfiʿ?" He said: "Yes, he did, but this ḥadīth in particular Yūnus did not hear from Nāfiʿ."
