أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، ( ح ) وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْيَمَانِ ( ح ) وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، ( ح ) وَحَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ ( ح ) وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالُوا: قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ ضَمْضَمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ:

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ " أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْأَسْوَدَيْنِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ: الْعَقْرَبِ، وَالْحَيَّةِ ". وَفِي حَدِيثِ غُنْدَرٍ قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ: فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: فَقَالَ: الْعَقْرَبُ وَالْحَيَّةُ. وَفِي حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ يَحْيَى: يَعْنِي الْحَيَّةَ وَالْعَقْرَبَ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded the killing of the two black creatures in prayer: the scorpion and the snake. In the hadith of Ghundar, Ma'mar said: I said to him, and he said: 'The scorpion and the snake.' In the hadith of Abd al-A'la, Yahya said: 'Meaning the snake and the scorpion.'
