أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قُدَامَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ:

كَانَ رِجَالٌ يُصَلُّونَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَاقِدِينَ أُزُرَهُمْ عَلَى أَعْنَاقِهِمْ كَهَيْئَةِ الصِّبْيَانِ، فَيُقَالُ لِلنِّسَاءِ: لَا تَرْفَعْنَ رُؤُوسَكُنَّ حَتَّى يَسْتَوِيَ الرِّجَالُ جُلُوسًا

Translation

✧ Men would pray with the Prophet ﷺ having tied their waist-wrappers around their necks like the manner of young boys, and it was said to the women, 'Do not raise your heads until the men are sitting upright.'
