✧ That he was sitting with a group of the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ, and they mentioned the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Abu Humayd al-Saidi said: “I was the best of you at memorizing the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I saw him when he said the takbir place his hands level with his shoulders, and when he bowed he placed his hands firmly on his knees, then bent his back, and when he raised his head he stood straight until every vertebra returned to its place, and when he prostrated he placed his hands not spread out nor clenched, and he faced the tips of his fingers toward the Qiblah, and when he sat in the first two rak'ahs he sat on his left foot, and when he sat in the last rak'ah he pushed his left foot forward and sat on his buttocks.”
