أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ الْعِجْلِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ:

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ " يَدْعُو عَلَى أَحْيَاءٍ مِنْ أَحْيَاءِ الْعَرَبِ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى: لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوْ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ قَالَ: ثُمَّ هَدَاهُمْ إِلَى الْإِسْلَامِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to supplicate against some tribes of the Arabs. Then Allah, Blessed and Exalted, revealed: 'You have no part in the matter; whether He turns to them or punishes them, for they are wrongdoers.' He said: Then He guided them to Islam.
