أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَمْرٍو الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ:

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَنَتَ فِي صَلَاةٍ شَهْرًا، يَقُولُ فِي قُنُوتِهِ: " اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ الْوَلِيدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ، اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ سَلَمَةَ بْنَ هِشَامٍ، اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ عَيَّاشَ بْنَ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ، اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ الْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، اللَّهُمَّ اشْدُدْ وَطْأَتَكَ عَلَى مُضَرَ، اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سِنِينَ كَسِنِي يُوسُفَ ". قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: فَأَصْبَحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَلَمْ يَدْعُ لَهُمْ، فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ، فَقَالَ: " أَوَ مَا تَرَاهُمْ قَدْ قَدِمُوا ؟

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed qunut in prayer for a month, saying in his qunut: "O Allah, save al-Walid b. al-Walid. O Allah, save Salamah b. Hisham. O Allah, save 'Ayyash b. Abi Rabi'ah. O Allah, save the weak believers. O Allah, make Your punishment severe on Mudar. O Allah, make it upon them years like the years of Yusuf." Abu Hurayrah said: Then one day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ woke up and did not supplicate for them. I mentioned that to him, and he said: "Do you not see that they have arrived?"
