أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّيْخُ الْإِمَامُ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُسْلِمِ السُّلَمِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الْأُسْتَاذُ الْإِمَامُ أَبُو عُثْمَانَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الصَّابُونِيُّ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ أَبُو زَيْدٍ الْأَحْوَلُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هِلَالُ بْنُ خَبَّابٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:
قَنَتَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ شَهْرًا مُتَتَابِعًا فِي الظُّهْرِ، وَالْعَصْرِ، وَالْمَغْرِبِ، وَالْعِشَاءِ، وَالصُّبْحِ، فِي دُبُرِ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ إِذَا قَالَ: " سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ "، فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْآخِرَةِ، يَدْعُو عَلَى حَيٍّ مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ، عَلَى رِعْلٍ، وَذَكْوَانَ، وَعُصَيَّةَ، وَيُؤَمِّنُ مَنْ خَلْفَهُ ". قَالَ: أَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِمْ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى الْإِسْلَامِ فَقَتَلُوهُمْ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ performed qunut for a month consecutively in Zuhr, 'Asr, Maghrib, 'Isha', and Fajr, at the end of every prayer when he said: 'Allah hears the one who praises Him,' in the last rak'ah, supplicating against a tribe of Banu Sulaym—against Ri'l, Dhakwan, and 'Usayyah—and those behind him said Amin. He said: He had sent to them calling them to Islam, but they killed them.
