✧ I prayed with the Prophet ﷺ one night and he began al-Baqarah. He recited until he reached one hundred, and I said: He will bow. Then he continued until he reached two hundred, and I said: He will bow. Then he recited until he completed it, and I said: He will bow. Then he began al-Nisa' and recited, then he bowed. His bowing was like his standing, and he said in his bowing: “Subhana Rabbiyal-'Azim.” Then he prostrated, and his prostration was like his bowing, and he said in his prostration: “Subhana Rabbiyal-A'la.” When he passed by a verse of mercy, he asked; when he passed by a verse of punishment, he sought refuge; and when he passed by a verse containing glorification of Allah, he glorified.
