✧ I have not seen anyone whose prayer more closely resembled that of the Messenger of God ﷺ than so-and-so—an amir who was in Madinah. Sulaymān said: 'I prayed behind him, and he would lengthen the first two units and lighten the last two, and lighten the ʿAṣr prayer. In the first two units of Maghrib he would recite the short mufaṣṣal sūrahs, in the first two of ʿIshāʾ the medium mufaṣṣal sūrahs, and in the morning prayer the long mufaṣṣal sūrahs.'
