أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ:

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا قَامَ لِلصَّلَاةِ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى تَكُونَا بِحَذْوِ مَنْكِبَيْهِ، ثُمَّ كَبَّرَ، فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ فَعَلَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، فَإِذَا رَفَعَ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ فَعَلَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، وَلَا يَفْعَلُهُ حِينَ يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ السُّجُودِ

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood for prayer, he raised his hands until they were level with his shoulders, then said the takbir. When he wanted to bow, he did the same. When he raised from bowing, he did the same, but he did not do that when raising his head from prostration.
