✧ There was a man from the Ansar whose house was the farthest house in Madinah, and he never missed praying with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I felt sorry for him and said: O so-and-so, if only you would buy a donkey to protect you from the scorching heat, to lift you from the rugged ground, and to protect you from the vermin of the earth. He said: By Allah, I do not like that my house be adjacent to the house of Muhammad ﷺ. He (the narrator) said: I carried this as a burden until I came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned that to him. He said: He called him and asked him, and he mentioned the same thing to him, and he mentioned that he hopes for reward in his footsteps. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: 'You shall have what you hoped for.'
