✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him about the times of the prayers. He said: Pray with us. When the sun declined, [the Messenger of Allah] ﷺ prayed Zuhr. He said: And he prayed Asr while the sun was high, white and pure, and he prayed Maghrib when the sun had set, and he prayed Isha when the twilight had disappeared, and he prayed Fajr in the darkness. The next day, he ordered Bilal and he called the adhan for Zuhr, and he delayed it and cooled it, and he made it very cool. He ordered him and he called the iqamah for Asr while the sun was alive, but he delayed it more than before. He ordered him and he called the iqamah for Maghrib before the twilight disappeared, and he ordered him and he called the iqamah for Isha after a third of the night had passed, and he ordered him and he called the iqamah for Fajr and he made it bright. Then he said: Where is the one who asked about the time of prayer? He said: I am here, O Messenger of Allah. He said: The time of your prayer is between what you have seen.
