✧ The permissibility of trade during Hajj

ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ قَالَ:

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ، يَقْرَؤُهَا لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ تَبْتَغُوا فَضْلا مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ فِي مَوَاسِمِ الْحَجِّ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Aḥmad b. ʿAbdah
  2. Ḥammād b. Zayd
  3. ʿUbaydullāh b. Abū Yazīd

✧ I heard Ibn al-Zubayr reciting it: "There is no blame upon you for seeking bounty from your Lord during the Hajj gatherings" (Quran 2:198).
