Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 3251

✧ evidence that the stoning of the Jamarat was only intended for the establishment of the remembrance of Allah, not for the stoning itself

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ - وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ - ﷺ

إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الطَّوَافُ بِالْبَيْتِ، وَبَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ، وَرَمْيُ الْجِمَارِ لِإِقَامَةِ ذِكْرِ اللهِ

✧ Tawaf around the House, and between Safa and Marwah, and stoning the Jamarat were only made for the establishment of the remembrance of Allah.
