✧ The concession of cutting off meat from the hady with the permission of its owner

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ثَوْرٌ، عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ لُحَيٍّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ قُرْطٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

أَعْظَمُ الْأَيَّامِ عِنْدَ اللهِ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ، ثُمَّ يَوْمُ الْقَرِّ ". وَقُدِّمَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بَدَنَاتٌ خَمْسٌ أَوْ سِتٌّ، فَطَفِقْنَ يَزْدَلِفْنَ أَيَّتُهُنَّ يَبْدَأُ بِهَا، فَلَمَّا وَجَبَتْ جُنُوبُهَا، قَالَ كَلِمَةً خَفِيفَةً لَمْ أَفْهَمْهَا، فَسَأَلْتُ بَعْضَ مَنْ يَلِيهِ، فَقَالَ: [قَالَ ]: " مَنْ شَاءَ اقْتَطَعَ

✧ "The greatest day in the sight of God is the Day of Sacrifice, then the Day of Rest." Five or six camels were brought to the Prophet ﷺ, and they began to draw near to see which of them he would start with. When their sides fell, he said a light word I did not understand. I asked someone near him, and he said: [He said]: "Whoever wishes may cut off."
