✧ Omitting Voluntary Prayer Between Dhuhr and Asr When Combining Them at Arafah

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النُّفَيْلِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: دَخَلْنَا عَلَى جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ، وَقَالَ:

فَخَطَبَ، ثُمَّ أَذَّنَ بِلَالٌ، ثُمَّ أَقَامَ فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ ثُمَّ أَقَامَ فَصَلَّى الْعَصْرَ، لَمْ يُصَلِّ بَيْنَهُمَا شَيْئًا، ثُمَّ رَكِبَ الْقَصْوَاءَ حَتَّى أَتَى الْمَوْقِفَ

✧ He gave a sermon, then Bilal called the adhan, then the iqamah, and he prayed Dhuhr, then he called the iqamah and prayed Asr, and he did not pray anything between them. Then he rode al-Qaswa until he came to the standing place.
