✧ Permissibility for the Mutamatti' to have intercourse with women between exiting Ihram from Umrah and entering Ihram for Hajj

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ: [قَالَ ]: قَالَ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ:

قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَبِيحَةَ رَابِعٍ مَضَتْ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ، فَلَمَّا قَدِمْنَا أَمَرَنَا أَنْ نَحِلَّ، فَقَالَ: أَحِلُّوا وَأَصِيبُوا النِّسَاءَ. قَالَ عَطَاءٌ: قَالَ جَابِرٌ: وَلَمْ يَعْزِمْ عَلَيْهِمْ أَنْ يُصِيبُوا النِّسَاءَ وَلَكِنَّهُ أَحَلَّهُ لَهُمْ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived on the morning of the fourth day that had passed of Dhul-Hijjah. When we arrived, he commanded us to exit Ihram, and said: 'Exit Ihram and have intercourse with women.' Ata said: Jabir said: He did not make it obligatory upon them to have intercourse with women, but he made it permissible for them.
