✧ I said to Ibn Abbas: What do you think about riding between Safa and Marwa? He said: Your people claim that it is a Sunnah. He said: They have spoken truth and they have spoken falsehood. The Prophet ﷺ came to Makkah and began to perform Sa'i between Safa and Marwa. The people of Makkah came out, even the women came out, and no one would be struck in his presence, nor would they leave him alone. So he called for his mount and rode. If he had been left alone, walking would have been dearer to him.
