✧ Ibn 'Umar intended Hajj and said: 'I will make it 'Umrah; if I am prevented, I will do as the Messenger of God ﷺ did.' When he looked upon al-Bayda', he said: 'I do not see the way of the two except as one. I call you to witness that I have made Hajj obligatory along with my 'Umrah.' When he came to Qudayd, he bought a sacrificial animal and drove it with him until he arrived in Makkah. Then he circumambulated the House, prayed two rak'ahs behind the Maqam, and went between Safa and Marwah—meaning he performed sa'y—and said: 'Thus I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ do.'
