✧ We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on one of his journeys, and when we were at al-Bayda'—or at Dhat al-Jaysh—a necklace of mine broke, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stopped to search for it, and the people stopped with him. They were not at a water source and had no water with them, so the people came to Abu Bakr al-Siddiq ؓ and said: Do you not see what 'A'ishah has done? She has made the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the people stop, and they are not at a water source and have no water with them. Abu Bakr came while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had placed his head on my thigh and had fallen asleep.
