  • Ibn Khuzaymah

machine translationTheir being reported as halted (mawqūf) is, in my knowledge, the correct view. The anointing with oil in the ḥadīth of Saʿīd b. Jubayr is only from the action of Ibn ʿUmar, not from the action of the Prophet ﷺ. And Manṣūr b. al-Muʿtamir is a better memorizer, more knowledgeable in ḥadīth and more precise than a number of others such as Farqad al-Sabakhī.
