✧ I brought water for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to take a bath from janabah. She said: He washed his palms twice or thrice, then he put his right hand into the vessel and poured water over his private parts with it and washed them with his left hand. Then he struck the ground with his left hand and rubbed it vigorously. Then he performed wudu as for prayer. Then he poured three handfuls of water over his head, filling both his hands. Then he washed the rest of his body. Then he moved away from that spot and washed his feet. Then I brought him a towel, but he returned it. This is the wording of the hadith of 'Isa b. Yunus. In the report of Ibn Fudayl, she said: He began shaking the water off himself. Likewise, Ibn Idris said: A towel was brought to him, but he refused to accept it and began shaking the water off himself.
