حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ الْهَجَرِيِّ، ( ح ) وَحَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْهَجَرِيِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:

الْأَيْدِي ثَلَاثَةٌ، يَدُ اللهِ الْعُلْيَا، وَيَدُ الْمُعْطِي الَّتِي تَلِيهَا، وَيَدُ السَّائِلِ السُّفْلَى إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ، فَاسْتَعِفَّ عَنِ السُّؤَالِ مَا اسْتَطَعْتَ

Translation

✧ The hands are three: the hand of Allah is the highest, the hand of the giver is next, and the hand of the beggar is the lowest until the Day of Resurrection. So refrain from asking as much as you can.
