✧ The collective chapters of the charity of the breaking of the fast in Ramadan

حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:

أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ نُؤَدِّيَ زَكَاةَ رَمَضَانَ صَاعًا مِنْ طَعَامٍ عَنِ الصَّغِيرِ وَالْكَبِيرِ، وَالْحُرِّ وَالْمَمْلُوكِ، مَنْ أَدَّى سُلْتًا قُبِلَ مِنْهُ، وَأَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ: وَمَنْ أَدَّى دَقِيقًا قُبِلَ مِنْهُ، وَمَنْ أَدَّى سَوِيقًا قُبِلَ مِنْهُ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to pay the Zakat of Ramadan as a saa' of food on behalf of the young and the old, the free and the slave. Whoever gave sult, it was accepted from him, and I think he said: and whoever gave fine flour, it was accepted from him, and whoever gave sawiq, it was accepted from him.
