✧ I heard al-Nu'man b. Bashir on the pulpit of Hims saying: We stood in prayer with the Messenger of God ﷺ in the month of Ramadan on the night of the twenty-third until a third of the night, then we stood with him on the night of the twenty-fifth until half the night, then we stood with him on the night of the twenty-seventh until we thought we would not attain the suhur, and we used to call it the suhur, but you say: the seventh night of the twenty-third, and we say: the seventh of the twenty-seventh, so are we more correct or you?
