أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ - وَهُوَ الْأَعْمَشُ - يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ مُنْذِرٍ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ:

اسْتَحْيَيْتُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْمَذْيِ مِنْ أَجْلِ فَاطِمَةَ، فَأَمَرْتُ الْمِقْدَادَ بْنَ الْأَسْوَدِ فَسَأَلَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: " فِيهِ الْوُضُوءُ

✧ I was too shy to ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about pre-ejaculatory fluid (madhy) because of Fatimah. So I ordered al-Miqdad b. al-Aswad to ask the Prophet ﷺ about that, and he said: "In it, ablution is required."
